The Bertha Fund is a tribute to the beautiful dog pictured here.  She was a stray that was brought to TLC  by animal control. We had no history on her, but from the time we spent with her, she was nothing but a sweet loving dog, which we named Bertha.  Looking at her girth we assumed she was going to have puppies any day, but that was not the case.... When we took her in to the veterinarian we found out she was in the final stage of heartworm, which gave her the appearance of being pregnant.  We were  told that there was not a glimmer of hope to save her.  In her memory the Bertha Fund was created to help other animals in need of more extensive medical care.  The Fund is made up of donations made by caring peple like yourself.

Whatever you are able to donate is greatly appreciated.  Medical bills for the animals have been at an all time high this year, and there are constantly more cats and dogs coming in that need more help.
