 We call it the "freedom ride" for animals in dire need of rescue, sitting in overcrowded shelters, and running out of time.  These dogs and cats have little to no chance for adoption, where they are at, but it takes money to save them.   To help them click the donate button below.  Each $20.00 donation enables us to save one more animal, and get it on board the Freedom Ride.... a life saving trip to a new beginning.

The Bertha Fund was a tribute to the beautiful dog pictured here.  She was a stray brought in by animal control, who appeared to be ready to deliver a litter any day.  We named her Bertha, and she was just as sweet as she could be.  As soon as we could we got her in for a check up, and found out that she was not pregnant ..... she was so bloated from being in the final stage of heartworm, and told she was beyond any chance of saving.  In her memory, the Bertha Fund was created so we could help other animals in need of more extensive medical care.  The Bertha Fund is made up of donations from kind, caring people like yourself.  Medical bills for the animals were at an all time high this year, and there are more and more animals coming in need of additional veterinary care.  But in order to continue, we need your help.  Whatever you can manage to donate is greatly appreciated.
